On a Wintry December Evening, a couple of nights within the Solstice, I home recorded a Koleda (Polish Christmas Carol) in celebration of this time of year.
It’s pretty much about how little baby Jesus was whimpering and crying and his mother, Mary, was getting irritable with his neediness.
Its all very Slavic and somewhat sad, but I tried to select the happiest two verses. There are other carols that are much more riveting and celebratory, but the melody of this one is so beautiful!
