I’m currently in Ostrava Czech Republic rehearsing a Czech version of Shakespeare’s ‘Marná lásky'(Love Labor’s Loss). Its incredibly comedic and entertaining. I was invited in May after performing for a very intimate crowd in Ostrava. Its been very interesting adding three of my own songs to this play – ‘Country will do her Well’ ‘Broken Crowns’ and ‘Rip Up Your Stitch’!
The premiere is July 18th and we will be performing in the Ostrava, Brno, and Prague castles outdoor for 11 nights!
Here is a link you need to see some of the rehearsing!
And if you’re feeling brave and would like to try out your luck with google translate here is more info!

Ostrava has a long industrial history of coal and steel mines that are being turned into artistic spaces, including a huge industrial era turn of 20th century steel mill becoming the space for the music festival Colours of Ostrava! I was lucky enough to see Kronos Quartet, Bobby McFerrin, Rufus Wainright, Antony & the Johnsons, Alannis Morrisette, and Zaz! I was moved to tears several times! Here are some of my pics of the production, city, and festival!
